A biography of the McMinn brothers. They brothers emigrated to Adelaide from Ireland with their mother and siblings. William was a chainman on the failed Escape Cliffs expedition before becoming a surveyor and working on the OTL. He then worked as a successful architect in Adelaide. Gilbert, also a surveyor, acted as Government Resident in Darwin for several months. He eventually settled in Melbourne.
