Reid, Brian 2003
A historical account of how a group of concerned Darwin people were able to secure the help of their political representatives to bring about the collaboration of the Sir Robert Manzies National Foundation and the Territory and Commonwealth Governments to establish a health research centre in Darwin. This unlikely event would, with the guidance of it’s initial Board and Director, become a leading research centre in its field.
The Historical Society of the Northern Territory acknowledges the Larrakia people, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which History House stands, and acknowledges their continuing connection to land, sea, and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
